In this cyber-age, most of the time we are interacting more with the computer, so it is a must to at least understand about the HCI.

Simply said, HCI means the interaction become the human and the computer no matter who you are as long as you are using the computer, typing using the keyboard, clicking the mouse, touch screen and etc.
In between this, involved one process which is interaction design that use to design how to make the user/ human to interact with the computer. The people will design variety of interaction to attract people attention and also make the user easy to interact with the computer.
Interaction design (IxD) is "the practice of designing interactive digital products, environments, systems, and services."[1] Like many other design fields Interaction Design also has an interest in form but its main focus is on behaviour.[1] What clearly marks Interaction design as a design field as opposed to a science or engineering field is that it is synthesis and imagining things as they might be, more so than focusing on how things are.[2] - wikipedia
